Online food safety classes are now available through this website! The ServSafe® Starters Employee Online Course for Platte County, MO has been approved by the Platte County Health Department. Food handlers who wish to become Certified can do so by successfully completing the online course.
Upon successful completion of the online course, the food handler must print the "Certificate of Completion" and take it to the Platte County Health Department's Parkville location on Mondays between 1:00 PM and 4:30 PM. The food handler will be asked to correctly answer several "post test" questions to verify that they are the person that took the online class. Food handlers are encouraged to bring notes from the online course to assist them in taking the "post test". After successful completion of the "post test", the food handler will be photographed and will receive a Food Handler ID Card. The cost of the ID Card is included in price of the course.

Please note that the "Certificate of Completion" must be taken to the Platte County Health Department within 30 days of taking the course, or the course and test must be retaken.
