Have You Received Formal Food Safety Training Elsewhere?
Formal training from an agency other than the Platte County Health Department, Clay County Health Department, or Kansas City, Missouri Health Department will be evaluated on an individual basis to determine if the training meets the Platte County Health Department's requirements regarding registration of food handlers.
If the Platte County Health Department determines that training received elsewhere does meet the requirements, those individuals may become Certified Food Handlers by completing a registration form, paying a $10.00 fee, and obtaining a photo ID from the Platte County Health Department. Photos for this type of certification will be taken at the Platte County Health Department, 1201 East Street, Parkville, Missouri or 212 Marshall Road, Platte City, Missouri Monday-Wednesday from 8:00 to 4:30 PM. Photos for online certification are also available at Monday-Wednesday from 8:00-4:30.
