The Platte County Health Department announces two more positive cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) in Platte County, Missouri
Platte City, MO— (March 25th, 2020) — The Platte County Health Department has confirmed two more positive cases of COVID-19 in Platte County, bringing the total up to four (three additional cases have been confirmed in the portion of Platte County within the city limits of Kansas City). The new case details are a male and a female in their 40s, and one case is related to travel.
Platte County Health Department wants to reiterate how important it is to abide by the “Stay at Home” Order that went into effect yesterday for all who live and work in Platte County until April 24th 2020. It is imperative to stay at home unless absolutely necessary and to maintain social distancing (staying six feet away from others). Remember to wash your hands often, and clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces and objects.
Moreover, if you are sick, isolate yourself at home to prevent the spread of germs and only leave your home to seek medical care. If you experience symptoms such as cough, fever, or other respiratory problems, please call your healthcare provider or urgent care clinic to receive guidance and arrange a test if appropriate. Do not go to the emergency room unless you are having troubling breathing and need immediate medical attention.
