Food Handler Certification
The Platte County class is held every 3rd Tuesday of the month from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. July 20th, 2021 Class is FULL!
PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED!! Registration and payment may be completed here or registration may completed by calling (816) 858-2412. If registering by phone, payments must be made by credit card over the phone. Finally, registration for the in-person class may be made in person at either our Parkville or Platte City location, in which case payment is required at the time of registration.
Cost: $20.00 non-refundable fee. Late arrivals will not be admitted and must reschedule to attend a future class.
Photo identification is required at the time of class.

Platte County Health Department, Clay County Health Department, Cass County Health Department, Jackson County Health Department, Independence Health Department, and Kansas City, Missouri Health Department now accept one another's food handler photo ID cards as their own!
PLEASE NOTE THAT FOOD HANDLER ID CARDS ARE AVAILABLE ONLY BY APPOINTMENT ON MONDAYS IN PARKVILLE.
APPOINTMENTS ARE AVAILABLE MONDAY THRU FRIDAY IN PLATTE CITY.
THIS CHANGE IS DUE TO STAFFING SHORTAGES ASSOCIATED WITH OUR MASS VACCINATION CLINICS. WE APOLOGIZE FOR THE INCONVENIENCE.
Platte County requires 1 in 5 people on duty to have a food handler's certification.
