Pregnancy

Pregnancy Testing

We provide testing for pregnancy in two ways:

  • Urine Test: Same-day results at the clinic.
  • Blood Test: Lab results in 24-72 hours.

We also provide a Confirmation of Pregnancy Letter, which includes the estimated due date. Some insurance companies require this for coverage.

Prenatal Vitamins and Folic Acid

Taking prenatal vitamins and folic acid daily before, during and after pregnancy can help prevent birth defects and maintain the mother’s health. We provide free prenatal vitamins through our Vitamin Angels program.

Healthy Lifestyle Choices

Avoid alcohol and smoking during pregnancy to keep mom and baby safe.

Medical Checkup and Screening

A medical checkup helps manage any conditions and ensures medications are safe for pregnancy.

Nutrition

Eating a balanced diet with fruits and vegetables supports mom and baby’s health.

Immunizations During Pregnancy

It's important to ensure that immunizations are up to date during pregnancy. We recommend the following immunizations:

  • Influenza: Given during flu season (September-March).
  • COVID-19: Seasonally.
  • RSV: Given to the mother to protect the baby if the due date is during high RSV season (October to March).
  • Tdap: Should be given to the mother during her 3rd trimester to protect the newborn from Pertussis. Caregivers (father, grandparents, etc.) of the newborn should also receive Tdap four weeks prior to birth.
